Our commitment
JDFit is built by Security Minded Solutions, LLC. People looking for work use every kind of device and assistive technology, and JDFit should work for all of them. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
We would rather tell you where we are than claim a finish line we have not crossed. We have not had a third-party accessibility audit. What we have is a clear target, testing as we build, and a direct line to us when something does not work.
What this statement covers
This statement covers www.jdfit.io. When the JDFit browser extension and app launch, we will extend it to cover them.
What we have built so far
- A “Skip to content” link on every page for keyboard users.
- Visible focus indicators on every link, button and form control.
- Semantic landmarks and headings, so screen readers can move through the page by structure.
- A waitlist form where every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, errors are described in text next to the field and announced to screen readers, and focus moves to the first problem.
- Verdicts in the product previews shown as words, never by color alone, and text colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Light and dark themes that follow your device setting.
- Support for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Product previews built as real text rather than images, with no fake buttons or fields for a keyboard to get stuck on.
- Pages that stay usable when zoomed to 200% and on narrow phone screens.
How we test
We run automated accessibility scanning on our pages and fix what it reports. Automated tools catch only part of what matters, so we also check keyboard operation by hand as we build.
Known limitations
- The waitlist form uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to stop automated sign-ups. It runs in the background and should not ask you to solve a puzzle, but it is third-party code we do not control. If it gets in your way, email us and we will add you to the list directly.
- The product previews are detailed pictures of an interface. Their text is readable by screen readers, but the layout is visual; each has a caption summarizing what it shows.
